I', using Nameplate Scrolling Combat for this purpose, and with a bit of setup, I find it less intrusive than Blizzards own "SCT". With that in mind I would drop the icons and make the text last shorter. Personally, I don't think you need to see the actual numbers the individual abilities provide, but they are more so there to confirm me, that I'm actually hitting something or not. For almost everything you do in-game, this should work. The personal resource display moving up and down with the camera annoys me(especially when it clips the target frame), and I find the scrolling combat text too much for a minimalistic UI. We’ve put together ElvUI profiles that serve as gameplay-focused, one-size-fits-all profiles. Overall, I really like this minimalistic approach, but I do have a few issues. I find the minimap rarely useful, but it still needs to be available when you need it, so it always takes up a spot. Applications for scholarships should be submitted well ahead of the school enrollment deadline so students have a better idea of how much of an award, if any, they will receive.That is actually so clever(or maybe common sense, but never really thought of it). As for addons: Gladius, Tidyplates, and TellMeWhen/WeakAuras (for tracking cooldowns) are what I use. I use gUI, which I believe is from the same people who made ElvUI.
